HEXRISE
Privacy Policy · Last updated: October 10, 2026
Hexrise ("the app", "we") is a habit and self-improvement app that turns real-life goals into quests and XP. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address, or your basic Google profile if you sign in with Google. Used only to sign you in.
- Profile and progress — your hunter name, chosen focus goals, daily time commitment, quests, custom habits you create, XP, stats, rank, streaks and badges.
- Activity you log — the activity name and description you type into "Log Activity".
- AI briefing text (premium) — the goal or intention you type into Hunter Briefing. It is sent through our server to Google's Gemini AI to generate your weekly quests.
- Guilds and leaderboard — your guild membership and, only if you turn on "Appear on global rankings", your hunter name, guild, rank and XP are shown to other users.
- Device push token — used to send you notifications such as rank-ups and quest reminders. Stored privately and not visible to other users.
- Crash reports and app usage — if the app crashes, a crash report (device model, Android version, and where in the app it failed) is sent to Google Firebase Crashlytics. Anonymous usage events (for example "quest completed" or "level up") are sent to Google Analytics for Firebase so we can see which features work. These are linked to a random app ID and your account ID, never to the text you type.
- Purchases — if you subscribe, Google Play handles payment. We receive and store the subscription status and purchase token to verify your subscription. We never see your card details.
Hexrise does not collect health or fitness data, location, contacts, photos (except a guild logo a guild master chooses to upload), or advertising identifiers. The app contains no ads.
How we use it
- To run the app: show your quests, calculate XP and ranks, run guilds, leaderboards and notifications.
- To verify subscriptions with Google Play.
- To generate AI quests when you request a Hunter Briefing.
- To fix crashes and improve the app, using crash reports and anonymous usage events.
We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
Where it is stored
Data is stored with Google Firebase (Google Cloud), which may process it in the United States or other countries where Google operates. Data is encrypted in transit.
Who can see it
Only you can see your progress, quests and logs — unless you opt into the global leaderboard or join a guild, in which case other users can see your hunter name, guild, rank and XP. Service providers (Google Firebase, including Crashlytics and Analytics, Google Play, Google Gemini) process data only to provide their services to us.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, progress, quests, logs, notifications, guild membership and purchase record. If you can't access the app, see how to request deletion.
Children
Hexrise is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
